Takis’s sculpture...The title of this large outdoor kinetic sculpture refers the Aeolian harps of ancient Greece, stringed musical instruments named after Aeolus, keeper of the winds in Greek mythology. Takis’s sculpture is also activated by the wind, which creates movement rather than sound, and so acts as a device to make an invisible force visible. The rotating hemispheres suggest a modern antenna, receptive to signals from afar.
