With an emphasis on collaboration, my practice focuses on political and societal identity, disability/accessibility, mental health, sex work, ‘poverty porn’, and oversharing. Alexa, Play Ultralight Beam explores themes of social identity — more specifically growing up disabled and mixed race in an ableist, racist household and schooling system. Call Me By Your DWP Number references classic coming-of-age movies from the 90’s and 00’s; the pink and dreamy world it creates satirically romanticise aspects of living with a disability that tend to be vilified.
